The Population Research Institute (PRI) is currently evaluating
the SODAPOP service. The ability to extract a data set containing a
subset of variables will not be supported after September 15, 2016.
The data collections in SODAPOP will still be available from the
PRI. If you should have concerns about this change to the SODAPOP
service or need to access some of the data, contact the PRI's
Computational and Spatial Analysis (CSA) core at email@example.com.
Web-accessible data collections only.
Below is a complete list of
electronic data collections available to PRI affiliates. The list only includes collections available via web extraction. Whenever possible, web-accessible data collections are publicly available, but some are restricted to Penn State or PRI users.
You are responsible for following the proper procedure for using secondary data on human participants in your research at Penn State. Please review the guidelines for conducting research with human participants before using any secondary data.
PopNet data: PRI affiliates can also access any of the collections directly by applying for an account on our network.
The public data sets that PRI maintains are also available on PRI computers via network share. This allows
you to access the entire data sets from a mapped drive in Windows for use in desktop statistical applications.
